It’s not an obvious choice for this series, but Sevilla based brand has a thing for surfing and lifestyle it promotes. And a funny thing: I didn’t know about the brand until my last trip to Spain.
Sea, skulls and quality
Scalpers was founded in 2007 in Sevilla and was inspired by a tribe of Native American Indians who cut off scalps in order to reclaim their freedom, hence the logo. Consider Scalpers as a stylish brand that wants to give men a timeless durability in contemporary design with a rebel twist. And in latest collection it’s also a promise of freeing your inner nomad. No wonder why the brand is looking into surfing for inspiration.

I found many surfing and sea references in „Nomad. Not mad” collection. Next to the brands logo and leitmotiv (I love skulls!) there are symbols like anchors, surfboards or waves. The casual part of the collection includes all the „classics”: warm sweatshirts and hoodies, graphic tees, chino pants, windbreakers, hats and informal jackets.
The coolest items that grabbed my attention were stripped espadrilles in various colors, an olive casual double-breasted jacket and a green cotton/linen shirt, which I’ve eventually got as a birthday gift from my wife and which you can see in a photo session in this post. Everything made from premium quality materials.

It’s all in the details
What I also like about Scalpers is paying attention to the details and customer experience. It is visible in their stores, like the one I visited in Madrid.

You can see it in packaging too. Just take a look at this classy designed shopping bag.
Nomad in Spain
The theme of newest Scalpers collection perfectly fits to this photo session presenting my Scalpers shirt. It was taken on the streets of A Coruna and Madrid.
