Here’s the first part of 10 exercises training plan that can help you prepare your key muscles for intense surfing (during your next surf trip). For starters, the absolute basis: exercise for proper posture and balance.
While setting up the workout programme before my surf trips I look for various exercises and aI test a lot. I’m not a professional trainer, but knowing my body and basic principles of good and healthy workouts, I often work on my own exercises.
This series of exercises helped me to get in the right shape before my last trip to Galicia. It’s core has been developed by Kevyn Dean of DSC Performance Physical Therapy and Fitness in San Clemente, Calif., for “Twenty” magazine. The whole series is ideal for beginner surfers or everyone who wants to have a good surfing shape again.
